A Menlo Park native, Marcus celebrates California’s seasonal bounty through a global lens, drawing inspiration from his Japanese and Hawaiian roots.
Formally trained at the Culinary Institute of America in New York (CIA), he returned to the Bay Area after graduation and refined his craft in San Francisco Michelin-starred kitchens.
For the past seven years, Marcus has been part of the award-winning Camper in Menlo Park, where his creativity and leadership earned him the role of Chef de Cuisine. Known for his refined technique, love of fresh produce, and calm leadership style, he brings precision and warmth to every dish.
Today, Marcus hosts private events across the Bay Area, offering intimate dining experiences that highlight seasonal ingredients and genuine hospitality. Each menu is designed to bring people together and create a sense of connection around the table.
